Carmel Aioli or Chipotle Mayo Dipping Sauce
Method
Preparing Sweet Potato Fries
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 2
Cut the Sweet Potatoes
Wash and peel the sweet potatoes. Cut them into thin fries or wedges, ensuring they are uniform in size for even cooking.
- 3
Season the Fries
In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato fries with olive oil, cinnamon, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- 4
Arrange on Baking Sheet
Spread the seasoned sweet potato fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 5
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fries are crispy and golden brown.
Making the Dipping Sauce
- 6
Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, maple syrup, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until smooth.
- 7
For Chipotle Mayo
If making chipotle mayo, add the chipotle pepper in adobo sauce and lime juice to the mixture and stir until well combined.
- 8
Serve
Serve the sweet potato fries hot alongside the caramel aioli or chipotle mayo dipping sauce.
