Burger Assembly

Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

1

Mixing Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly incorporated, being careful not to overwork the meat.

2

Forming the Patty

Shape the mixture into a round patty about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of the patty with your thumb to help it cook evenly.

Cooking the Burger Patty

3

Heating the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

4

Cooking the Patty

Place the patty on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Assembling the Burger

5

Preparing the Bun

While the patty is cooking, slice the burger bun in half and lightly toast it if desired.

6

Layering Ingredients

On the bottom half of the toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty. Top the patty with cheese, tomato slices, and add ketchup and mustard to taste.

7

Completing the Burger

Place the top half of the bun over the assembled ingredients and press down gently to secure.
