Method
Base
- 1
Prepare the Graham Cracker Base
In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted unsalted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix well until the crumbs are evenly coated with butter.
- 2
Press the Base Mixture
Press the graham cracker mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish evenly. Use the back of a measuring cup to compact the crumbs firmly.
- 3
Bake the Base
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the crust for 10 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool.
Chocolate Layer
- 4
Heat the Cream
In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Do not boil.
- 5
Melt the Chocolate
Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Let it sit for a minute, then stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- 6
Pour the Chocolate Layer
Pour the melted chocolate over the cooled graham cracker base, spreading it evenly. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until set.
Caramel Layer
- 7
Prepare the Caramel Layer
Once the chocolate layer is set, drizzle the caramel sauce evenly over the chocolate layer. Sprinkle sea salt on top of the caramel.
- 8
Chill Again
Return the dessert to the refrigerator for another 15 minutes to allow the caramel to firm up.
Toppings
- 9
Add Whipped Cream
Once the caramel layer is set, spread the whipped cream evenly over the caramel layer.
- 10
Finish with Toppings
Sprinkle chocolate shavings and crushed graham crackers on top of the whipped cream for garnish.
- 11
Serve
Cut into squares and serve chilled. Enjoy your Grandmaster by Lava Girl dessert!
