Burger Assembly

Method

Preparing the Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Use your hands to mix until evenly combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  4. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness or until cooked to your preference.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in the skillet until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Add the Lettuce

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a leaf of lettuce.

  3. 7

    Add the Tomato

Slice the tomato into thick slices and place a slice on top of the lettuce.

  4. 8

    Add the Patty

Once the patties are cooked, place one on top of the tomato.

  5. 9

    Add Cheese

Top each patty with a slice of cheese and let it melt slightly.

  6. 10

    Condiments

Add ketchup and mustard on top of the cheese, according to your taste.

  7. 11

    Finish the Burger

Cover with the top half of the bun and press down gently.
