Main Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- 1
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Cook the Chicken
While the pasta is cooking, season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center. Remove from the skillet, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice into strips.
Making the Alfredo Sauce
- 3
Prepare the Sauce
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and allow it to simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
- 4
Add Cheese
Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
Combine and Serve
- 5
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly.
- 6
Add Chicken and Serve
Top the pasta with sliced chicken. Garnish with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately.
