Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Asparagus

In a pot of boiling salted water, blanch the asparagus pieces for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and immediately plunge into ice water to stop cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Filet

Season the filet of beef tenderloin with salt and black pepper. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Sear the filet for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let rest.

  3. 3

    Make the Sauce

In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the blanched asparagus and crab meat, stirring gently. Pour in the lemon juice and cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Dish

Place the cooked filet on a plate and top generously with the crab and asparagus mixture. Serve immediately.
