Shrimp Po' Boy Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a bowl, combine the buttermilk and shrimp. Let it marinate for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Mix the Coating

In a separate bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Coat the Shrimp

Remove the shrimp from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge in the flour mixture until well coated.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  5. 5

    Fry the Shrimp

Fry the shrimp in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Po' Boys

Slice the baguettes in half, spread remoulade sauce on each side, add a generous amount of fried shrimp, and top with shredded lettuce.
