Brownie Directions
- 1
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- 2
Melt Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth.
- 3
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Stir in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- 5
Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- 6
Add Pecans
Fold in the chopped pecans, reserving a few for topping.
- 7
Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Top with reserved pecans. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 8
Cool and Serve
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream and drizzle with bourbon sauce.
