Brownie Directions
- 1
Prepare the Brownie Batter
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 2
Bake the Brownies
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Allow to cool in the pan.
- 3
Sauté the Pecans
In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the pecans, brown sugar, bourbon, and salt. Cook, stirring frequently, until the pecans are toasted and the sauce is bubbly, about 5-7 minutes.
- 4
Serve
Cut the cooled brownies into squares. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and top with the sautéed pecans in bourbon sauce.
