Bread Pudding
Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- 2
Prepare the Bread
Tear the stale bread into small pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- 3
Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- 4
Combine Ingredients
Pour the wet mixture over the bread pieces. Add in the raisins and gently fold to combine. Let it sit for 15 minutes to allow the bread to soak up the mixture.
- 5
Bake
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- 6
Cool and Serve
Allow the bread pudding to cool for a few minutes before serving. It can be served warm or at room temperature.
