Soft Serve Base

Boba Tea

Method

Prepare Soft Serve

  1. 1

    Make the Soft Serve Base

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until the sugar is dissolved. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft serve consistency.

Prepare Boba

  1. 2

    Cook the Tapioca Pearls

In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the tapioca pearls and cook according to package instructions (usually about 5-7 minutes). Once cooked, drain and rinse under cold water. Mix in 1 tablespoon of brown sugar until the pearls are well coated.

  2. 3

    Brew the Tea

Brew the black tea and let it cool. You can add sugar or sweetener to taste if desired.

Assemble the Dessert

  1. 4

    Combine and Serve

In a tall glass, add a generous scoop of the soft serve, followed by a layer of tapioca pearls, and then pour over the cooled black tea. Top with ice, rainbow sprinkles, chocolate sauce, and any additional fruit slices. Serve immediately with a wide straw for sipping the boba.
