Garlic Butter

Method

Preparing the Clams

  1. 1

    Clean the Clams

Rinse the littleneck clams under cold running water to remove any sand or debris. Soak them in a bowl of cold water for about 20 minutes to help them expel any grit.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F (200°C).

Making the Garlic Butter

  1. 3

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.

  2. 4

    Add Garlic

Once the butter is melted, add minced garlic (finely chopped) and cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  3. 5

Mix in Parsley and Lemon Juice

Stir in the fresh parsley, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.

Grilling the Clams

  1. 6

    Grill the Clams

Place the cleaned littleneck clams directly on the grill grates. Close the lid and grill for 5-7 minutes, or until the clams open up. Discard any clams that do not open.

  2. 7

    Serve

Remove the clams from the grill and immediately drizzle the warm garlic butter over the top. Serve hot.
