Method

Preparing the Salad Base

  1. 1

    Wash and Chop Romaine Lettuce

Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Dry it with a salad spinner or paper towels. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.

  2. 2

    Prepare Cherry Tomatoes and Cucumber

Slice the cherry tomatoes in half and add them to the bowl with the romaine. Peel and slice the cucumber into half-moons, then add to the bowl.

  3. 3

    Dice Avocado

Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh out with a spoon. Dice the avocado into cubes and gently add to the salad bowl.

Adding the Toppings

  1. 4

    Prepare Hard-Boiled Eggs

Boil the eggs for about 10 minutes. After boiling, place them in cold water for a few minutes. Peel the eggs and chop them into quarters before adding them to the salad.

  2. 5

    Crumble Bacon

Cook the bacon until crispy, then let it cool. Crumble the bacon into small pieces and sprinkle over the salad.

  3. 6

    Add Cheese and Onions

Sprinkle the blue cheese crumbles over the salad. Slice the green onions and add them on top for a fresh flavor.

Making the Dressing

  1. 7

    Combine Dressing Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until well blended.

  2. 8

    Dress the Salad

Pour the dressing over the salad just before serving. Toss the salad gently to ensure everything is evenly coated with the dressing.
