Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Wash and Prepare Vegetables

Wash the gem lettuce, cucumber, and tomatoes under cold water. Pat dry with a paper towel. Chop the gem lettuce into bite-sized pieces, slice the cucumber thinly, and chop the tomatoes into quarters.

  2. 2

    Prepare Avocado and Eggs

Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and slice it into thin wedges. Peel the hard-boiled eggs and chop them into quarters.

Cooking Proteins

  1. 3

    Grill the Chicken

Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper. Grill over medium-high heat for about 6-7 minutes on each side, until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Let it rest for a few minutes, then slice into strips.

  2. 4

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, approximately 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease. Once cooled, chop into small pieces.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 5

    Mix the Vinaigrette

In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Combine Ingredients

In a large salad bowl, layer the gem lettuce as the base. Top with sliced grilled chicken, cucumber, tomatoes, avocado, hard-boiled eggs, bacon, and blue cheese crumbles.

  2. 7

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the house vinaigrette over the salad and toss gently to combine. Serve immediately.
