Method

Prepare Tuna Salad

    Drain Tuna

    Open the canned tuna and drain the excess liquid.

    Mix Tuna Salad

    In a bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, celery, red onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated.

Assemble Sandwich

    Spread Tuna Salad

    Take one slice of bread and spread half of the tuna salad mixture on top.

    Add Cheese

    Place a slice of cheddar cheese over the tuna salad, then top with the second slice of bread.

Cook Sandwich

    Melt Butter

    In a skillet, heat the butter over medium heat until melted.

    Cook First Side

    Once the butter is melted, place the assembled sandwich in the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown.

    Cook Second Side

    Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes on the other side until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.

Serve

    Cool and Slice

    Remove the tuna melt from the skillet and let it cool for a minute before slicing in half.
