Chicken Preparation

Breading Mixture

Method

Chicken Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Place them in a bowl and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well coated.

  2. 2

    Breading Station

In a separate bowl, whisk the egg until well beaten. Set up your breading station with the seasoned chicken, beaten egg, and the breading mixture.

Breading Mixture

  1. 3

    Mix the Breading Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, paprika, baking powder, and salt. Mix until well combined.

  2. 4

    Bread the Chicken

Take each piece of seasoned chicken, dip it into the egg, then dredge it in the breading mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated. Set aside on a plate.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pan or fryer, heat about 2 inches of oil over medium-high heat until hot (around 350°F or 175°C).

  2. 6

    Fry the Chicken

Carefully add the breaded chicken pieces to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-6 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Dipping Sauce

  1. 7

    Prepare the Dipping Sauce

In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, hot sauce, lemon juice, and garlic powder. Mix until smooth and well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.
