Method

Preparation of Haddock

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Haddock

Place the haddock fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Preparation of Fries

  1. 3

    Cut the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to make fries.

  2. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the potato strips in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt.

Preparation of Coleslaw

  1. 5

    Shred the Vegetables

Shred the green cabbage and carrots using a grater or food processor.

  2. 6

    Mix the Coleslaw Dressing

In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  3. 7

    Combine the Coleslaw

Add the shredded cabbage and carrots to the dressing and toss until evenly coated. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes before serving.

Cooking the Haddock

  1. 8

    Cook the Haddock

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the marinated haddock fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

  1. 9

    Assemble the Plate

Serve the baked haddock alongside the fries, coleslaw, and dinner rolls.
