BBQ Sauce

Make the BBQ Sauce
In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Simmer the Sauce
Stir well and bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Cool and Store
Remove from heat and let it cool. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use.

Prepare the Patties
In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.

Toast the Buns
Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster while the patties are cooking.

Assemble Burgers
Place each cooked patty on a bun and drizzle generously with BBQ sauce. Top with any additional toppings of your choice.
Onion Rings

Prepare the Onions
Peel and slice the onions into 1/4-inch thick rings. Separate the rings and set aside.

Make the Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add cold water, mixing until the batter is smooth.

Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches about 375°F (190°C).

Fry the Onion Rings
Dip each onion ring into the batter, letting excess drip off, and carefully place in the hot oil. Fry in batches for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
