Brownie Base

Method

Brownie Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Melt Butter

In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Mix Sugars

Stir in 2 cups of granulated sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar into the melted butter until combined.

  4. 4

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Add 4 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in 2 tsp of vanilla extract.

  5. 5

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 1 tsp of salt.

  6. 6

    Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  7. 7

    Add Chocolate Chips

Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips into the batter until evenly distributed.

  8. 8

    Bake Brownies

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  9. 9

    Cool Brownies

Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes.

Serving

  1. 10

    Prepare Brownies for Serving

Once cooled, cut the brownies into squares and place them on serving plates.

  2. 11

    Add Ice Cream

Top each brownie square with 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream.

  3. 12

    Drizzle Toppings

Drizzle chocolate sauce generously over the brownie and ice cream, then add a dollop of whipped cream on top.

  4. 13

    Serve Immediately

Serve warm and enjoy your delicious fudge brownie à la mode!
