Method
For the Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the boneless chicken breasts into strips, about 1 inch wide.
- 2
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip first in flour, then in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Make sure each strip is fully coated.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan, heat 2 cups of oil over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F/175°C).
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Carefully place the breaded chicken strips in the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Remove the chicken tenders from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
For the Fries
- 7
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick).
- 8
Soak the Potatoes
Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- 9
Dry the Potatoes
Drain the water and pat the potato strips dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- 10
Heat the Oil
In a separate frying pan, heat 2 cups of oil over medium-high heat.
- 11
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the dried potato strips to the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- 12
Season and Serve
Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste and serve hot alongside the chicken tenders.
