Salmon

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps in achieving a good sear.

  2. 2

    Coat with Blackening Seasoning

Evenly coat each salmon fillet with the blackening seasoning on all sides, pressing gently to adhere.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  2. 4

    Blacken the Salmon

Add the seasoned salmon fillets to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and has a blackened crust. Remove from skillet and let rest for a few minutes.

Salad Assembly

  1. 5

    Prepare the Romaine

While the salmon is cooking, wash and chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 6

    Combine Salad Ingredients

In a large bowl, toss the chopped romaine with Caesar dressing until well coated. Add croutons and grated Parmesan cheese, and toss gently to combine.

  3. 7

    Plate the Salad

Divide the dressed romaine salad onto four plates.

  4. 8

    Top with Salmon

Slice the blackened salmon into portions and place one piece on top of each salad. Serve immediately.
