Preparing the Burger Patty

Mix Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine ground bison, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined.

Form Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty, making sure they are slightly larger than the burger buns as they will shrink while cooking.

Add Cheese
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
Assembling the Burger

Prepare Buns
While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

Build the Burger
On the bottom half of each bun, layer lettuce leaves, the bison patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, red onion slices, and pickles. Add your choice of BBQ sauce, guacamole, or hot sauce.

Top with the other half of the bun, serve immediately, and enjoy your delicious bison burger!
