Burger Assembly

Method

Preparing the Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef or chicken, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Make sure they are slightly larger than the burger buns as they will shrink while cooking.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Heat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, you may add a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them over.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

After flipping the patties, add your choice of cheese slices on top. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly if desired.

  2. 7

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, onion, and pickles. Add ketchup and mustard to taste.

  3. 8

    Finish the Assembly

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately while hot.
