Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare Ingredients

Slice the pork spareribs into smaller pieces. Chop the onion, dice the tomatoes, and bruise the lemongrass by gently hitting it with a knife or mortar.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork

In a large pot, add the sliced pork spareribs and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Skim off any foam that forms on the surface.

  3. 3

    Add Vegetables and Spices

Add the chopped onion, diced tomatoes, bruised lemongrass, and chilies to the pot. Simmer for about 30 minutes until the pork is tender.

  4. 4

    Final Touches

Stir in the Thai basil leaves and lime juice. Adjust seasoning with salt or more lime juice if needed. Let it simmer for another 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Serve

Ladle the soup into bowls and serve hot, garnished with additional basil if desired.
