Fried Wonton Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, minced garlic, chopped green onions, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- 2
Assemble the Wontons
Take a wonton skin and place about a teaspoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold the skin over to form a triangle, and press to seal. Repeat until all filling is used.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Wontons
Carefully add the wontons to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Serve
Serve the fried wontons hot with sweet chili sauce on the side for dipping.
