Pork Tenderloin
Toppings
Method
Preparing the Pork Tenderloin
- 1
Trim and Season
Trim any excess fat from the pork tenderloin and pat it dry. Season all sides with salt and black pepper.
- 2
Prepare Breading Station
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
- 3
Bread the Pork
Dredge the seasoned pork tenderloin in the flour, shaking off excess. Dip it into the beaten eggs, ensuring it's fully coated, then roll it in breadcrumbs until evenly coated.
Cooking the Pork
- 4
Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- 5
Fry the Pork
Carefully place the breaded pork tenderloin into the hot oil. Fry for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F).
- 6
Drain
Remove the pork from the skillet and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Assembling the Sandwich
- 7
Prepare Toppings
While the pork is resting, wash and prepare the lettuce, slice the tomato and onion, and gather the pickles.
- 8
Build the Sandwich
Slice the pork tenderloin into sandwich-sized pieces and place them on a bun or plate. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, and pickles as desired.
