Burger Patties

Burger Assembly

Method

Preparing the Patties

  1. 1

    Make the Patty Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into three equal portions and shape them into patties, about ¾ inch thick.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip them and cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until they reach your desired doneness. If using cheese, add it on top of the patties during the last minute of cooking to let it melt.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato and onion. Rinse the lettuce leaves and set aside.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each burger bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a patty, a slice of tomato, several onion rings, and a few pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
