Method
For the Grilled Cheese
- 1
Prepare the Bread
Take two slices of bread and spread one tablespoon of butter evenly on one side of each slice.
- 2
Assemble the Sandwich
Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, on a skillet over medium heat. Layer two slices of cheddar cheese on top, then cover with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
- 3
Grill the Sandwich
Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown, then carefully flip and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and both sides are golden brown.
- 4
Slice and Serve
Once done, remove the sandwich from the skillet, let it cool for a minute, then slice it in half and set aside.
For the Fries
- 5
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to resemble fries.
- 6
Season the Fries
In a large bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.
- 7
Bake the Fries
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the seasoned potato strips in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- 8
Serve
Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Serve alongside the grilled cheese sandwich.
