Method

Prepare the Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until evenly combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape them into round patties, slightly larger than the burger buns.

Cook the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until browned. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheese on top of each. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the burgers are cooked to your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Bun

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster if desired.

  2. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf followed by a slice of tomato. Once the patties are cooked, place them on top of the tomato. Add ketchup and mustard to taste, then cover with the top half of the bun.

Serve

  1. 7

    Enjoy Your Cheeseburger

Serve the cheeseburgers immediately while hot, with additional toppings or sides as desired.
