Method

Preparing the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mixing Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined.

  2. 2

    Shaping Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.

Cooking the Bacon

  1. 3

    Frying the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

Cooking the Burgers

  1. 4

    Grilling the Patties

In the same skillet or on a grill, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  2. 5

    Adding Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover to melt.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 6

    Preparing Buns

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 7

    Layering Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, the cooked burger patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, some onion rings, crispy bacon, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
