Base Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- 1
Make Blueberry Syrup
In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of fresh blueberries, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 2 cups of water. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar. Once boiling, reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the blueberries burst and the mixture thickens slightly.
- 2
Strain the Syrup
Remove the saucepan from heat and let the syrup cool for a few minutes. Then, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing down on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids and set the blueberry syrup aside.
- 3
Juice the Lemons
While the syrup is cooling, juice the 2 fresh lemons, removing any seeds. You should have about 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice.
- 4
Combine Ingredients
In a large pitcher, combine the cooled blueberry syrup and the fresh lemon juice. Stir well to mix the flavors together.
- 5
Add Beer
Slowly pour in the 2 cups of beer into the pitcher with the blueberry-lemon mixture. Stir gently to combine without creating too much foam.
