Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it's hot enough to bake the Blis.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Baking Pan

Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with cooking spray or butter, then set aside.

Mixing the Base

  1. 3

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to combine.

  2. 4

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, vanilla extract, milk, and vegetable oil until well combined.

  3. 5

    Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients

Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not over mix.

Baking

  1. 6

    Add Optional Toppings

If desired, fold in the chocolate chips into the batter for extra flavor.

  2. 7

    Pour Batter into Pan

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.

  3. 8

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cooling and Serving

  1. 9

    Cool the Blis

Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  2. 10

    Serve

Cut into squares and, if desired, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
