Method

Preparation of Ribs

  1. 1

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the pork ribs to coat evenly.

  2. 2

    Cook the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until tender.

  3. 3

    Glaze with Barbecue Sauce

Remove the ribs from the oven, discard the foil, and brush generously with barbecue sauce. Return to the oven and broil for an additional 5-10 minutes until the sauce is caramelized.

Preparation of Shrimp

  1. 4

    Prepare the Battering Mixture

In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add water, whisking until you achieve a smooth batter.

  2. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 6

    Fry the Shrimp

Dip each shrimp into the batter, allowing excess to drip off, then carefully place in the hot oil. Fry in batches for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
