Burger Patties

Burger Assembly

Method

Preparing the Patties

  1. 1

    Mixing Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the Certified Angus Beef® ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined; avoid overworking the meat.

  2. 2

    Shaping Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty approximately 1/2 inch thick.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Grilling the Patties

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness (internal temperature of 160°F for medium).

  2. 4

    Adding Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place the cheese on top of each patty and cover with a lid to melt the cheese.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Toasting the Buns

If desired, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Building the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, pickles, and condiments (ketchup and mustard) to taste. Top with the other half of the bun.
