Method
Chicken Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into finger-sized strips, about 1 inch wide.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate shallow bowls, place flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs mixed with milk in the second, and breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika in the third.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip first into the flour, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure each piece is well-coated.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Carefully place the breaded chicken strips into the hot oil, cooking in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Fry for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6
Drain the Chicken
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Dipping Sauce
- 7
Mix the Sauce
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, honey, Dijon mustard, and hot sauce. Stir until smooth and well combined.
Side Dish
- 8
Cook the French Fries
While the chicken is frying, prepare the French fries according to package instructions, either baking or frying them until golden and crispy.
