Tea Base

Sweetener (optional)

Flavor Enhancers (optional)

Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Step 1: Boil Water

In a large saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Step 2: Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes depending on how strong you prefer your tea.

  3. 3

    Step 3: Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the saucepan. If you prefer a sweeter tea, add your choice of sweetener (sugar, honey, or stevia) while the tea is still warm, stirring until fully dissolved.

Cooling and Serving

  1. 4

    Step 4: Cool Down

Let the brewed tea cool to room temperature, then transfer it to the refrigerator. Chill for at least 1-2 hours.

  2. 5

    Step 5: Add Flavors (Optional)

If desired, add slices of lemon, fresh mint leaves, or peach slices to the chilled tea for added flavor. You can also muddle the mint leaves gently before adding them to release more flavor.

  3. 6

    Step 6: Serve

Serve the chilled tea over ice in glasses. Garnish with additional mint leaves or lemon slices if desired.
