Cooking the Steak

Form the Ground Sirloin
In a bowl, season the ground sirloin with salt and black pepper. Mix well and form into a patty.

Cook the Steak
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the patty and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest.

Sauté the Onions and Mushrooms
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced onions and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they begin to soften. Then, add the sliced mushrooms and continue to sauté for another 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are golden brown and the onions are translucent.

Top the Steak
Place the cooked patty on a serving plate and top with the sautéed onions and mushrooms. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
