Burger Patty

Cheese and Toppings

Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the Certified Angus Beef® ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the meat mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center to help them cook evenly.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, or heat a skillet over medium-high heat on the stove.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the burger patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side for medium doneness.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese on each patty. Cover to melt the cheese.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare the Buns

While the cheese is melting, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 7

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, layer the lettuce leaves, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, pickles, and condiments (ketchup and mustard) to taste. Top with the other half of the bun.
