Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- 3
Add the Tomatoes and Wine
Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes and white wine. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 4
Add the Seafood
Add the shrimp and mussels to the skillet. Cover and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until the mussels have opened and the shrimp are cooked through.
- 5
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to loosen it.
- 6
Season and Serve
Stir in fresh chopped basil and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste. Serve immediately.
