Salmon

Method

Salmon Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salmon

Preheat your torch or broiler. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and place them skin-side down on a baking sheet.

  2. 2

    Season the Salmon

Drizzle the salmon with olive oil, and season with salt and black pepper. Squeeze lemon juice over the top.

  3. 3

    Torch the Salmon

Using a culinary torch, carefully torch the surface of the salmon until it is golden brown and slightly charred. If using a broiler, place the salmon under the broiler for about 5-7 minutes or until cooked to your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Salmon

Once cooked, remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Avocado Salsa Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Avocado

Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash slightly with a fork.

  2. 6

    Mix the Salsa

Add chopped red onion, halved cherry tomatoes, chopped cilantro, fresh lime juice, and wasabi paste to the mashed avocado. Mix gently to combine.

  3. 7

    Season the Salsa

Add salt to taste and give it one final mix.
