Brown the Ground Beef
In the same skillet, add the ground beef. Cook on medium-high heat, breaking it apart with a spatula until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Season the Meat
Once the beef is browned, drain excess fat. Add taco seasoning and salt, along with 1/4 cup of water. Stir to combine and let it simmer for 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.

Layer the Ingredients
Take a heated taco shell and fill it with a generous portion of the seasoned beef. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, a dollop of sour cream, sliced jalapeños, and chopped cilantro as desired.
