Method

Prepare the Steak

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the flank steak and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Prepare the Rice

  1. 3

    Cook the Rice

In a saucepan, combine the white rice and water. Bring to a boil, cover, and reduce to a simmer. Cook for 18-20 minutes until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.

  2. 4

    Flavor the Rice

Once cooked, fluff the rice with a fork and stir in lime juice and chopped cilantro.

Prepare the Beans

  1. 5

    Heat the Beans

In a small saucepan, combine the canned black beans, cumin, and salt. Heat over medium heat until warmed through, about 5 minutes.

Prepare the Guacamole

  1. 6

    Make the Guacamole

In a medium bowl, mash the avocados until smooth. Stir in lime juice, salt, diced tomato, onion, and chopped cilantro. Mix until well combined.

Assemble the Burritos

  1. 7

    Fill the Tortillas

Lay out the flour tortillas. In the center of each tortilla, layer sliced steak, rice, black beans, and guacamole.

  2. 8

    Roll the Burritos

Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly from the bottom. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
