Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and chop all vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Slice the bell peppers, carrots, and onion, and separate the broccoli florets. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, water, and red pepper flakes. Stir until the cornstarch is fully dissolved. Set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté the Aromatics

In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  2. 4

    Cook the Vegetables

Add the sliced onions, bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, and snap peas to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

  3. 5

    Add the Sauce

Pour the prepared sauce over the stir-fried vegetables. Stir well to coat all the veggies evenly and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Serving

  1. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired. Serve immediately over cooked rice or noodles.
