Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Add Tea Leaves

Once the water is boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and add 2 tablespoons of green tea leaves. Allow the tea to steep for 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, strain the tea through a fine mesh strainer into a teapot, discarding the leaves.

  4. 4

    Add Mint and Sugar

Add 1 cup of fresh mint leaves and 4 tablespoons of sugar to the strained tea in the teapot.

  5. 5

    Mix and Steep

Stir the mixture gently to dissolve the sugar. Allow the mint to steep in the tea for an additional 5 minutes.

  6. 6

    Serve

Pour the tea into small glasses, holding the teapot high to create a frothy top. Garnish with additional mint leaves if desired.
