Marinated Chicken

Pita and Toppings

Method

Marinate the Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large bowl, combine Greek yogurt, curry powder, grated ginger, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Chicken

Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Cook the Chicken

  1. 3

    Cook the Chicken

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the leftover marinade. Grill or sear the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  2. 4

    Rest the Chicken

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Assemble the Pita

  1. 5

    Prepare the Pita

While the chicken is resting, warm the pita bread slightly in the oven or on a skillet.

  2. 6

    Add Toppings

Slice the cooked chicken into strips. Take a pita bread and layer it with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and sliced cucumber. Top it with the sliced chicken and drizzle with curry sauce.
