Method

Preparing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the saucepan and discard them.

Sweetening the Tea

  1. 4

    Add Sugar

While the tea is still warm, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar until fully dissolved.

  2. 5

    Add Lemon Juice

Stir in 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice to enhance the flavor.

Chilling the Tea

  1. 6

    Cool Down

Allow the sweetened tea to cool at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 7

    Refrigerate

Once cooled, place the tea in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to chill thoroughly.

Serving

  1. 8

    Prepare Glasses

In serving glasses, add ice cubes if desired and pour the chilled tea over the ice.

  2. 9

    Garnish

Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves and a slice of lemon. Optionally, add peach slices for extra flavor.

  3. 10

    Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your sweet iced tea!
