Method
Marinade Preparation
- 1
Combine Marinade Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- 2
Marinate Chicken
Place chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, seal the bag, and gently massage the marinade into the chicken. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for best flavor.
Grilling
- 3
Preheat Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, approximately 375-450°F (190-232°C).
- 4
Grill Chicken
Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Discard the marinade. Grill the chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the juices run clear.
Side Dish Preparation
- 5
Prepare Salad (if serving)
In a large bowl, combine mixed salad greens, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber slices. Toss lightly to mix. Serve with your choice of dressing.
- 6
Prepare French Fries (if serving)
Cook French fries according to package instructions, either by baking or frying until golden brown and crispy.
Serving
- 7
Plate the Dish
Place grilled chicken breasts on a serving platter. Serve with the side salad or French fries.
