Sesame Balls Ingredients
Method
Directions to Make Sesame Balls
- 1
Prepare the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour and sugar. Gradually add water while kneading until a smooth dough forms. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- 2
Form the Balls
After resting, divide the dough into small equal portions (about 1 tablespoon each). Flatten each portion in your palm, place a teaspoon of red bean paste in the center, and fold the dough around the filling. Roll it into a ball shape.
- 3
Coat with Sesame Seeds
Once all the balls are formed, roll each ball in sesame seeds until fully coated.
- 4
Fry the Sesame Balls
In a deep frying pan, heat the cooking oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully drop the sesame balls into the oil in batches. Fry until they are golden brown and float to the top, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Serve with Sweet Milk
Plate the sesame balls and serve warm with a side of sweetened condensed milk for dipping.
