Tuna Tostada Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Caramelize the Onions

Slice the red onion thinly. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they become soft and caramelized, about 10-15 minutes. Stir occasionally, and add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Avocado Puree

In a small bowl, mash the avocado with lime juice, salt, and pepper until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Tuna

Dice the raw tuna into small cubes and season with soy sauce, chiltepin pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside.

  4. 4

    Toast the Bread

Toast the slices of bread until golden brown and crispy.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Shishito Peppers

In the same skillet, add the shishito peppers and sauté for 3-4 minutes until they blister and are tender. Remove from heat.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Tostada

On each slice of toast, spread a generous layer of avocado puree. Top with the seasoned tuna, caramelized onions, seaweed, and sautéed shishito peppers.

  7. 7

    Serve

Cut the tostadas in half and serve immediately. Enjoy your fresh Tuna Tostada!
