Method

Preparing the Lobster

  1. 1

    Step 1: Clean the Lobster

Rinse the lobster under cold running water to remove any debris. Ensure the shell is clean.

  2. 2

    Step 2: Steam the Lobster

Fill a large pot with about 2 inches of water. Place a steaming rack inside and bring the water to a boil. Once boiling, add the lobster, cover the pot, and steam for about 15-20 minutes, or until the lobster is bright red and the meat is opaque.

Making the Coleslaw

  1. 3

    Step 1: Prepare Vegetables

In a large bowl, combine the shredded green cabbage and grated carrot.

  2. 4

    Step 2: Mix Dressing

In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

  3. 5

    Step 3: Combine and Chill

Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot mixture. Toss well to coat. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Cooking the Side Options

  1. 6

    Step 1: Prepare Potatoes

Dice the potatoes into small cubes. Boil in salted water for about 10-15 minutes or until tender. Drain and set aside.

  2. 7

    Step 2: Cook Rice

In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of rice and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes or until the water is absorbed.

  3. 8

    Step 3: Steam Broccoli

In a pot with a steaming basket, bring a small amount of water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and steam for about 5-7 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Toss with butter before serving.
